We are pleased to tell everyone that the Project of the Month competition is ON. This is serious people! If your project wins, we'll send you money so you can keep your electronic development fuelled! That's right!
Rules
- Altium staff and their immediate relatives are not eligible to win.
- The winning project has not previously won this competition.
- It is new*.
- It is useful and performs some actual function.
- It is documented with proper text and an explanation what it is for, or does, or how it works, or a combination of these.
- There should be at least one photo of the prototype or design
- It has a higher aggregate value:
- Most Views
- Forks
- Followers
- Votes
- For extra “points” toward winning:
- A youtube embedded video of the project
- More photos of the build (ie. assembly, etc.)
- An X-factor
While the X-factor is subjective, it is necessary because Altium needs to be able to determine if something that may not strictly be the “best” according to other factors still has enough merit to win. A good example of this would be designs that are very simple but which are a novel and/or elegant solution to some problem. Another example would be something remarkable designed by a very young person.
*New usually means the project was added to CircuitMaker community since the previous competition month. We reserve the right to make exceptions.
Prize
The prize will be a $200 “gift voucher” for one of our manufacturing partners:
- CircuitHub
- OSH Park
- Seeed FusionPCB
- Eurocircuits
- PCB:NG
- Swie.io
Eventually with the running campaign we can make this the user’s choice who they use depending where they are geographically. However for the first one we are using CircuitHub (because it works) and in March 2016 will be Seeed Studio (because they are pushing for it).
